Dr. Masami Tanaka is a veterinarian at Legacy Drive Animal Hospital.
Dr. Tanaka recently relocated from Everett, WA where she has been practicing small animal medicine for over 20 years. Dr. Tanaka was born in Kobe, Japan and is fluent in Japanese.
She earned a BA degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and an MBA degree from the Chaminade University of Honolulu. She worked as the Marketing Director at an advertisement firm in Hawaii, facilitating companies with an interest in doing business with the Japanese.
She decided to change her career when she began volunteering at the animal hospital where she had been taking her cat. She received a DVM degree from Washington State University in 2001. She had been a medical director for the past seven years with VCA Silver Lake Animal Hospital in Washington until her recent move.
Dr. Tanaka loves internal medicine and is a strong believer in early disease detection and preventative medicine. She is a compassionate and dedicated doctor and treats every patient as if they were on her own. She values long-term relationships with her clients and their pets. Her hobbies are gardening and antique hunting. She is happily married to her husband and has three dogs, named Winston, Atlas, and Lucy; as well as her newest pet cat, named Liberty. She is so excited to be in Texas and join the Legacy Drive Animal Hospital.
