Meet the friendly doctors and staff of Legacy Drive Animal Hospital!

  • Dr.
    Robert Gillard
Dr. Gillard was born, raised, and educated in Minnesota, but has lived and practiced veterinary medicine in North Texas for 42 years. Dr. Gillard has two grown children, a son who is serving in the US Navy and a daughter who is a dentist. Dr. Gillard and his wife share their home (and bed) with two cats and their dog, Charlie Barkins. Some of Dr. Gillard's interests include astronomy, rocks and minerals, photography, woodworking, computer programming, and growing citrus trees for their fruit. Dr. Gillard is also one of the original owners and developers of the Emergency Animal Hospital of Collin County, where he works part-time, because it provides him with a challenging change of pace from a day practice. Why does Dr. Robert Gillard say he has the greatest job in the world? It is because he gets to help wonderful, caring people take care of their pets and gets to work with other compassionate people to deliver veterinary care to his patients and clients.
  • Dr.
    Kelly Shiplov
Dr. Shiplov graduated from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and has been with Legacy Drive since 2007. Dr. Shiplov enjoys preventative care and internal medicine. She is married to Brian, who is also a vet, and they have three children; Katie, Ben, & Elliot. Dr. Shiplov has two silly terriers, Reba and Penny, and a sweet cat named Lola.
  • Pamela G.
Pam has been working in the veterinary world for more than 20 years, and joined the Legacy Drive team in 2006. Most of you know she is a dedicated cat lover. She lives in Plano, has been married forever, and has several cats plus a great dog. When not working or scooping litterboxes, she enjoys sewing and crafts, and spending time with her two grandsons.
  • Mandy

Mandy has been working with animals since 2013 and has been at Legacy Drive Animal Hospital since February 2015. She has a fiery orange tabby cat named Bucky. Mandy says her favorite part about working at Legacy Drive is that she feels like she is making a difference in the lives of not only our pet patients, but also their human families as well.

  • Marco U.
    Hospital Manager
Marco has been working with animals since 1991, when he started at Legacy Drive as a kennel technician. Although he did leave our practice, he did find his way back to us in May 2016! Marco and his wife Crystal have three children; Gabe, Tegan, and Lili, and a goofy chocolate lab named Bob. In Marco's free time he likes to scuba dive and mountain bike. *Marco is multilingual- fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian!

Kendra has been with LDAH since 2006, and is cross trained in most areas. She was married in 2011 to Anthony, and had her daughter Shelby in 2014. She has 3 dogs and one cat; Bridget the lab mix, two dachshunds Ernie and Walter, and Henry the spunky kitty. Although Kendra loves animals of all shapes and sizes, dachshunds are her favorite!
  • Jasa
    Kennel Technician

Jasa has been with LDAH since February 2018.  She has a deep love for animals, which includes everything from cats to horses.  Born and raised in Allen, she is a true country girl at heart.  She likes to make use of her free time shooting her bow, riding her horse, two-stepping, or playing ultimate frisbee.  Jasa plans to go into the equine industry as a veterinarian after attending college at Tarleton University, and Texas A&M's school of Veterinary Medicine.

  • Becca
    Kennel Technician

Becca first joined the LDAH team as a high school intern in 2011 and returned to Legacy Drive in 2017 as a kennel technician after spending time away at college. In her spare time, Becca enjoys practicing her musical skills, reading her endless supply of books, and playing with her two English Springer Spaniels, Trixie and Roxie.

  • Chester the Cat
Chester has been LDAH's head of security since he was a kitten. He was brought into the clinic as a kitten in 2006 where he found his purpose; to serve and protect the staff and clients of Legacy Drive. He loves being told how handsome he is and having his chin and head rubbed, but don't try and touch his tummy- or you will see his sassy side!
